About Coach

Hi, I’m Coach Eric. I have been training and now coaching functional strength and conditioning for the past several years, with a background rooted in competitive athletics and long-term sport development. I have competed in endurance races including 5K and 10K events, as well as Hyrox Doubles, and I remain deeply invested in performance-based training.

Sports have been a constant in my life. I grew up playing multiple sports, competed as a three-sport athlete in high school, and went on to play college baseball. Prior to transitioning fully into strength and conditioning, I spent more than two decades playing semi-professional baseball, earning six Grand Championships with my teams. Training with intent, staying coachable, and committing to the process have always shaped how I approach both athletics and life.

Helping others learn new skills, set meaningful goals, and work steadily toward them is what I find most rewarding about coaching.

Turning Point

My turning point came when I realized that something was missing from my training. After years of competition in baseball and endurance events, I missed the structure, challenge, and shared pursuit that come from training with purpose and alongside others.

Walking into Ardent for the first time, I expected a demanding workout. What I did not expect was to rediscover the same sense of intensity, accountability, and team energy that had defined my athletic life for years. That environment reconnected me to who I am as an athlete and changed the direction of my training and coaching.

Motivation & Passion

What motivates me as a coach is helping others rediscover their potential. I enjoy watching people build confidence through consistent effort, whether that means completing a challenging session, developing new strength, or realizing they are capable of more than they believed.

My passion comes from a lifetime spent in competitive sport and disciplined training. Strength and conditioning gave me back the structure, focus, and sense of purpose I value, along with meaningful relationships and direction. Today, my goal is to help others build those same foundations through intelligent training and steady progress.
