Founder

Austin co-founded Ardent in 2012 after returning from his fourth military deployment, and the reason he built it says everything about how he coaches. Growing up with frequent moves, sport was how he learned to adapt, connect, and find stability. That carried into his time in the Air Force and Army, where the weight room was not about competition or appearance. It was structure. Predictability. A place where consistent effort produced consistent results. When he came home, he built a gym around that same idea. Over the past decade of coaching, ownership, and graduate-level study, his approach has shifted away from intensity for its own sake toward something more intentional: evidence-informed systems that support people as they train, work, and age well. That thinking became the foundation of The Ardent Way, a framework built around strength, recovery, nutrition, education, and community. What matters most to him is not short-term transformation but continuity, and Ardent reflects that standard every day.
